Amy Balestier and Melissa Underwood, pictured here, are not only the site's moderators, they also happen to be sisters (proof that your children too will get along some day). In their role as moderators, they post new threads, dream up the Question of the Week, select the Feature Mom and gallery photos, and keep an eye out for inappropriate content. They, along with volunteer moderators, work to keep the site topical and informative. Here's a brief introduction to Amy and Melissa ....

Amy Balestier (Username: AmyBal): A Stay-at-Home Mom, Amy is the mother of a two-year-old daughter, "who truly defines what it means to be two," as she likes to say. While she's a native of Pennsylvania, Amy and her family moved to Lancaster in the fall of 2007 from the New York-metro area. Prior to becoming a mom, she worked at a New York City non-profit in development and special event planning. "We are really enjoying the new surroundings, living close to family and," she jokingly adds, "finally being able to grill." When Amy is not chasing after her spirited tot through Market or at the playground, she can often be found practicing yoga, experimenting in the kitchen or reading.

Melissa Underwood (Username: MelissaU): Also a Stay-at-Home Mom, Melissa is the mother of a three-year-old daughter and year-old son. She found out very quickly that life with two children, who are less then two years apart, really keeps her on her toes. "After having the second, I realized that motherhood is a whole new ballgame," she admits. "Being extremely organized is priority number one these days." Formerly a special eduation teacher, Melissa finds her days filled with trips to the library, toddler gyms and swim lessons. When she does come across a few minutes to herself, she enjoys cooking and reading.
