Tell A Friend Contest

Rules & Regulations

  1. To enter this contest, tell your friends who have not already registered to go to the new, local website, www.LancMoms.com and complete the registration. Be sure they type in your name, town and phone number in the field that says "How did you hear about LancMoms.com?"

  2. The person mentioned most frequently in the "How did you hear about" field for new LancMoms.com registrations made between Sunday, July 6, 2008 and Monday, August 18, 2008 will win the "Tell A Friend" Contest.

  3. The prize is a $500 gift certificate to Boscov's in Lancaster, PA.

  4. There are no separate entries that may be mailed in or dropped-off at any location. You can only participate in the contest if you can get people to sign up as new registrants at LancMoms.com and mention you in the "How did you hear about" field.

  5. In the event of a tie, where two or more persons receive an equal number of mentions in the "how did you hear about" field, there will be a random drawing from among those who are tied with the highest number to determine the winner. Judges' decisions are final.

  6. The winner will be announced on LancMoms.com on Thursday, August 21, 2008. Watch for the announcement.

  7. The contest winner agrees to have their name announced and photo used on LancMoms.com as well as in Lancaster Newspapers' printed publications and on LancasterOnline.com.

  8. No purchase necessary. Must be 18 years old or older to be eligible to participate in the contest.

  9. Prize eligibility is limited to individuals. Businesses are not eligible.

  10. The winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone within 2 weeks following the winner selection and/or drawing.

  11. No cash substitute for prize.

  12. Winner is responsible for any and all taxes on prize won.

  13. Should the specified prize become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, a prize of like or equal value will be substituted by LancMoms.com.

  14. In the event winner is unable or ineligible to accept the prize...

    i. In the case of a tie for 1st place, a second drawing will be held among the remaining tied people.

    ii. If there is not a tie for 1st place, then the person with the next highest number of mentions in the "How did you hear about" field will be declared the winner.

    iii. If there is a tie for the second most mentions, a random drawing will be held from this group of persons to determine and announce a new winner.

  15. Employees of Steinman Enterprises and their immediate families living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

  16. Any attempt to bribe, coerce, or offer cash or a prize or a chance to win cash or a prize in exchange for an additional qualifying entry or additional multiple qualifying entries on the behalf of a contest participant by any other person is prohibited and will disqualify the contest entries of all persons involved in this activity.

  17. LancMoms.com reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at any time.
