I did not see the movie, but my own experience reading the book back when I was a child was that the book was even very creepy. I remember re-reading the book after I got older, and still felt like it was very creepy. I probably wouldn't bring any children under 8 to see the movie. I think it will be way over their heads, and just too creepy. This book to this day gives me the heebee-jeebees.

This would be a great question for Dr. Marrie during tomorrow night's Live Chat. She is a pediatrician from Grace Pediatrics and she does a live chat on the site the first Tuesday of every month at 8:30pm. Good luck!

I take my 4 yr old to Salon Fin at the corner of Frederick and Mary in Lancaster. They're not a kid-only salon, but Leigh and Karen are moms with young children and do a great job with little ones.

Join the Moms Club of E-town at the group's annual open house Monday, March 8, at the Elizabethtown Public Library. Moms will gather on the second floor of the library in the children's area during the baby and toddler time reading sessions. The library offers stories, songs and action rhymes for babies and grown-ups at 9 a.m. every Monday. A toddler time -- it includes singing, dancing, games and stories for children 18 to 36 months and their adult companions -- begins at 10:30 a.m. Mondays. Preregistration
