The Manheim Downtown Development Group Welcomes You!

Whether a business or family looking for a new home, you have to check out Manheim. Regionally convenient between Lancaster, Lebanon, Lititz and Harrisburg you have to see it to fully appreciate the historic architecture, culture and human spirit that is present in Manheim. With its founding by Henry William Stiegel, Manheim has always enjoyed a strong industrial foundation. Perhaps this together with the Pennsylvania Dutch and German heritage accounts for the sense of strong personal pride presented by its work force.

In 2000 our town sought and obtained status as a Keystone Opportunity Zone. An area on the south east corner of our Borough has Pennsylvania tax incentives for relocating businesses. This applies to state income, real estate and other taxes. Please talk to our Borough officials for details.

In addition, we have obtained status as a Main Street™ community. This status affords opportunity for businesses located in our Main Street / Market Square corridor for façade improvement grants together with the support of a committed volunteer group.  We hold many family fun events on our historic Market Square throughout the year!

Our school district has routinely achieved national awards for academic excellence and is also known for its acclaimed athletic reputation. Their web site is awesome!

Home also to the world’s largest auto auction, Manheim Auto Auction has visitors passing daily through town on PA Route 72 with a convenient Pennsylvania Turnpike exit very near another regional attraction, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. We invite their guests not to just drive by, but stop in and see our historic borough.

Come visit Manheim. Our businesses, bed and breakfasts, schools and citizens welcome you!

Spend a night at the National Watch and Clock Museum on March 2. Find out what happens after the Museum locks its doors each night. Does the mouse run up the clock, does the grandfather clock begin to talk, or does time really fly?

The Family Overnight is a unique opportunity for children ages 6 to 12 to spend the night at the Museum and enjoy decorating a clock to take home, munching on a snack, and exploring the many Museum’s exhibits. Cost is $20 for children and $12 for adults, with payment

Hello everyone, this is exactly what I was looking for. A place where I can chat with other moms. My husband and I have decided we want to relocate our family to Lancaster County. We have been visiting for the past 15 years and when we were kids. When we got back 3 weeks ago, we decided to finally do it. I need some help regarding school disricts. We have an 8 and 10 year old and would really like to hear what "the locals" consider a great school district and a very family and

I'm also new to site. I have 4 - 2 still at home 18 & 20 and 1 Married and a Son 25 living on his own. I like what "SkinnyMaria11" phys. said and agree with that advice. It's not easy but to allow them to grow into the Young Adults that they need to be. We have to let them go, so they can learn to be independent and responsible.... even if it means to gently 'nudge' them out of the nest, which is what we had to do with our son. He's is providing for himself, tried college
